He's Here!

Henry Allan Cherry arrived Friday, April 16th. He weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. We have been adjusting well to being home and a family of three.

39 Weeks

Here's what I'm looking like at 39 weeks. My official due date is April 9th but the doctor seems to think that I will be at least a week late. So, I am scheduled to be induced on Friday, April 16th. Matt and I are hoping that we end up going naturally sometime before next Friday.

Babymoon!

Matt and I spent President's Day weekend in Chicago for our Babymoon. Saturday we went to Shedd Aquarium, ordered pizza and were in bed watching the Olympics by 8:00pm. It was wonderful to relax and stock up on sleep (if only it worked that way). Sunday we did some shopping, went out for a nice Valentine's dinner, and to a play. We had a great time together.
The trip was much needed after I had a few emotional days. I just realized that Matt and I only have a few months together before it will never be the two of us again. I know it will be a wonderful change and I'm sure we will wonder what life was like before Baby C. It's just a little scary as we enter the unknown.

31 Weeks!

Here's the latest picture of my growing belly at 31 weeks. Matt and I are working on finishing up the nursery in the next few weeks. We also start our "child preparation" class next Tuesday.

Frick & Frack

If you knew Kate and I in college, we were lovely known as Frick and Frack because we were ALWAYS together. Well...a few years later and is shouldn't surprise you that we are still great friends and both about to become moms. We have had a great time being pregnant at the same time! It's crazy how fast time is flying by, it seems like we were just sharing our first trimester aches & pains. A few weekends ago, I went to Kate's baby shower in Ft. Wayne. We had a great time celebrating Baby Boy Greene. It was also wonderful to catch up and actually see each other in person.
I know you can't tell from the picture but Kate is due March 17th and I'm due April 9th.

Happy 2010!!!!

Well, it has been a year since the last time I updated the blog...how terrible is that!? Matt and I had a wonderful 2009!
We finished the school year and another baseball season strong. Matt's team didn't make it as far as they were hoping in the postseason but are optimistic and excited for the 2010 season. This past summer was busy but wonderful. Matt and I went on a missions trip to New York City. We spend three day working on the New York City Relief Bus, feeding the poor/homeless and helping people make connections with any resources they needed. We also spent a few days in Las Vegas, taking in the sights, a little gambling and watching some shows. Matt's family had a summer get together at his parent house. It was good to get together with his sisters and all the nieces and nephews.
This fall our school year started a little different that years past. I found out I was pregnant on the first day of school! As a result, our fall was full of doctors appointments, sleeping, house projects, eating, and more sleeping. I have been truly blessed with an easy pregnancy, no sickness, not too tired, and very minimal discomfort. Matt and I decided not to find out if Baby C is a boy or girl, so we'll find out in April.
I promise to do much better at keeping this blog updated. I know there are friends and family that want to keep up-to-date on Baby C. So, stay tuned for pictures.
We hope you all had a great 2009 and a wonderful start to 2010!

It's a New Year!

Happy 2009!
Matt and I had a wonderful Christmas break with friends and family! The best gift of Christmas this year was my mom's cancer-free diagnosis!! She has a clean bill of health and is able to return to pre-cancer activities.
While at home over break we were also able to get some things done around the house. We painted the living room and kitchen, painted the half-bath, added hardware to the kitchen cabinets, changed out 6 light fixtures, and all the doorknobs in the house. I had no idea how many doorknobs were in our house until we went to change them all!! There's still a list of things we would like to do but those will have to wait until the next break. I will work on getting some before and after pictures on the blog soon.
